Easter 2024 – which takes place between Friday, March 29th and Friday, April 12 - is another opportunity for families to spend precious time together while enjoying the local sights and attractions.

1. Norden Farm Centre for the Arts – Maidenhead
If you’re looking for ways to keep the whole family entertained over the Easter Holidays in the Maidenhead area, then get along to Quest Family Fest at the fantastic Norden Farm.

2. Easter Egg Hunt – Cliveden
Treat the family to a world of fun and adventure at the Easter Egg Hunt trail at historic Cliveden. Running throughout the Easter Holidays, families can make their way along the trail while taking part in nature-themed activities and collecting chocolate eggs along the way.
The interesting trail winds its way through the beautiful gardens at Cliveden that overlook the River Thames and include some amazing woodland and riverbank walks. The price is £3 per trail which includes an Easter trail sheet, bunny ears, and dairy or vegan chocolate egg. Dogs are also welcome at Cliveden, and a Dog Walkers’ Guide is available from the on-site Information Centre.

3. Changing of the Guard – Windsor
The Changing of the Guard is one of the main attractions of any visit to Windsor, and Easter is a great opportunity to witness this historic ceremony with the whole family. Whether you want to watch the procession from the stunning surroundings of Windsor Castle or join the crowds as the famous 1st Battalion Welsh Guards with their bearskin hats and red tunics march up Windsor High Street, you won’t be disappointed.
Performed by soldiers on active duty from the Foot Guards who have guarded the Sovereign and Royal Palaces since 1660, the ceremony is steeped in history and attracts spectators from all over the world. Changing of the Guard, which also takes place at Buckingham Palace, will be accompanied by music provided by the Band of Coldstream Guards, adding further excitement to this colourful military tradition. Windsor is only five miles from Maidenhead and easily reached by road and public transport.

4. Easter Eggstravaganza – Wellington Country Park
Perfect for children up to the age of 8 years old, there’s a wide variety of activities in store at Wellington Country Park’s Easter Eggstravaganza. There’s so much to do that you’re bound to find something to keep the little ones occupied and entertained.
You’ll find regular Easter craft sessions, live interactive stage shows, children’s storytelling, Circus Wellingtonia with the popular Big Top Mania team, and a Mega Egg Hunt on Sunday, March 31st only. Other attractions include a new Welly Tots Showcase featuring 6 exciting new play zones, an Easter-themed miniature railway, petting sessions at the animal farm, and even mini golf with clubs and equipment provided.
In addition to the Easter Eggstravaganza, families will also have access to the park’s everyday facilities, open spaces, and exciting play areas.

5. Daisy Fest Family Fun Day – Peacock Farm, Bracknell
Keep the kids entertained this Easter at the action-packed Daisy Fest Family Fun Day in Bracknell near Maidenhead. There’s loads of fun for all the family on offer including an Easter Egg Hunt, face painting and hair braiding, and art classes.
