Wokingham Festival

Where: Cantley Park, Wokingham

Tickets: Weekend and day tickets available

Price: Advance weekend tickets are £60 for an adult, and £17.50 for 8–18-year-olds. Day tickets are £24/£7 respectively.

With an eclectic mix of acts from tribute bands to up and coming local talent, the annual Wokingham Festival returns for another year of music and fun for all the family. With a circus zone for the younger attenders and plenty of food and drink traders to keep you fed and watered, it promises to be a great weekend for everyone to enjoy.

Swallowfield Show

Where: Swallowfield Park, RG7 1TH

Price: £13.50 for over 18s, under 18s go free

Get ready for a day packed with fun at the Swallowfield Show! You'll catch awesome shows in the Main Arena all day long, plus live music and performers hanging out in the Village Green. Wander through over 100 stalls selling cool stuff, crafts, and yummy artisan food. Don't miss the always-popular dog and horse shows, or the display of more than 150 classic rides and machines. If you're into competitions, check out the Exhibition with entries for gardening, crafts, cooking, and art. Want to try something new? Hit up the Activity Zone for some circus skills or a round of crazy golf. There's even a Learning Zone where you can get your hands dirty with some old-school skills such as beekeeping or blacksmithing. And don't worry about getting hungry – there's plenty of food and drinks to keep you going, no matter what you're craving.

Inflatable Weekend at Wellington Country Park

Where: Wellington Country Park

Tickets: Day ticket to WCP needed for access

Price: High season day tickets are £19.95 for those aged 2 and up. 1 and under go free.

Wellington Country Park has a wide variety of bouncy castles and other challenges on the Saturday 24th – Monday 26th August between 10:00am – 4:00pm on the Main Green. They’ve got:

  • Soccer Challenge
  • Ultimate Bouncy Castle
  • Toddler Castle
  • Jungle Play Zone

Please note inflatables will not go ahead in wet or windy weather.

Beer and Music Festival (Pippinfest)

Where: The Newtown Pippin, Bracknell

Tickets: Not needed

Price: No ticket price but you’ll need to buy your drinks and food!

If you want a more relaxed setting, then the Newton Pippin will be a great choice for an evening in Bracknell. With a range of musicians compiled by the Graham Steel Music company, the vibes will be good, the food tasty and the beer flowing!

Egham Royal Show

Tickets: Available in advance from the website or on the door (increased cost for on the door.)

Price: Weekend tickets: £18. Children under 14 years are free with an adult. 15-64 years old for a daily ticket are £13 with concessions being £11.

Accommodation: Both Woking and Slough are within a short drive of Egham

The Egham Royal Show is a traditional agricultural show with livestock displays, horticultural and produce competitions, a dog show and much more including scurry driving and stunt bikes.

There’s something for all the family and for all interests. Whether you want to see award winning vegetables or rare breeds, or even see the Prince Philip Duke of Edinburgh Cup for the best model awarded, it’s an action-packed weekend that promises to keep you and your family engaged.

Live at the Bandstand

Where: Alexandra Gardens, Windsor

Tickets: Not needed

Price: Free

There’s a wide range of artists throughout the summer including on the 25th of August, The Supertonics Big Band, a 17-piece band. Take a picnic blanket or chair, and whatever snacks you fancy, and spend an afternoon between 2-4pm enjoying the sounds of music in the park.

Teddy Bears' Picnic for Toddlers

Where: Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre

Tickets: Each child attending needs a ticket, available online

Price: £8.89 per child
