Maidenhead is on the south-western bank of the River Thames and it is the largest town in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead with a tidy town centre that was redeveloped after the Second World War.

The town is situated 25.7 miles west of Charing Cross, London and 11.7 miles northeast of the county town of Reading.  Maidenhead is a convenient and pleasant location with  easy access to Heathrow Airport and the surrounding towns of Slough,  Windsor, Ascot, Bracknell and Reading.

Located in the heart of Maidenhead, is the  Norden Farm Centre for the Arts, with an outstanding reputation, providing high quality arts events and participation activities  to everyone in 225 seater theater.    A lot of the town's charm comes from its riverside. You can take boat trips, try water activities , walk the Thames Path or go for days out to Windsor, Cliveden House or nearby Cookham. Maidenhead offers High Street shopping facilities including Nicholson's Centre, a shopping centre on the site of Nicholson's brewery. The town also offers an eight-screen Odeon multiplex cinema and the Magnet Leisure Centre which is scheduled to be replaced by a state of the art leisure centre
